1. SCM440H steel round bar ( Diameter 25 mm - 200 mm) steel grade

SCM440H Korea steel round bar is a steel grade produced according to JIS standards (Japan). Apart from the name SCM440 steel, there are the following similar steel grades:

- Grade 4140 steel + Hardness according to American AISI standards.

- Steel grade 7225 + Hardness according to DIN standards of Germany.

- Grade PDS3 + Hardness by Nippon manufacturer according to JIS standards of Japan.

- SCM440H steel grade according to KS 3754 standard of Korea or JIS 4052 standard of Japan.

2. SCM440H steel characteristics

SCM440H steel round bar is a kind of chromium-molyden steel with outstanding features such as:

- Carbon content accounts for about 0.37% - 0.44%;

- Chromium content accounts for about 0.85% - 1.25%;

- Molipden content accounts for about 0.15% - 0.35%;

- Silicon content accounts for about 0.15% - 0.35%;

- Manganese content accounts for about 0.55% - 0.95%;

- Phosphorus content accounts for about <= 0.03%;

- Sulfur content accounts for about <= 0.03%;

- Copper content accounts for about 0.3;

- The nickel content accounts for about 0.25.
